Global EHS Manager (m/f/d)

Your Mission
As the EHS Specialist at
Trench Group, your mission is to lead the development and implementation of a
unified global Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) strategy that aligns
with our company goals and commitment to sustainable innovation. You will ensure
compliance with all relevant EHS laws and standards, foster a culture of
safety, and drive continuous improvement in our EHS performance across all
global locations. You will be responsible for developing workplace health
policies, conducting risk assessments, and implementing mitigation strategies.
Additionally, you will lead training programs to promote a proactive EHS
culture and ensure transparent reporting of EHS metrics to stakeholders.

Your Tasks:
- Global EHS Strategy: You are
responsible for advancing a unified global EHS strategy aligned with company
goals, benchmarking against industry standards and best practices, defining
global standards while ensuring flexibility for local adaptation.
- Health & Safety Management: You will develop workplace health policies and
initiatives, monitor and mitigate hazards.
Environmental Compliance: You ensure regulatory adherence to local, national,
and international environmental laws, as well as tracking of emission and
reduction efforts (air, water, waste). - Risk Management: You evaluate and perform risk assessments to identify hazards
and potential risks, develop risk mitigation and emergency response plans, as
well as continuous improvement processes for safer work environments.
Data Analysis and Reporting: You collect and analyze EHS data for trends and
improvement, ensure global reporting on incidents, near misses, and safety
metrics, and provide transparent reporting to stakeholders, including
sustainability metrics. - Compliance and Auditing: You perform regular audits for legal and policy
compliance across regions, monitor local EHS policies, and manage external
regulatory inspections.
- Training & Awareness: You develop and roll out EHS training programs for
all employees, drive awareness campaigns, and provide leadership training to
promote a proactive EHS culture.
- Occupational Safety Specialist: Occupational safety specialist
(“Sicherheitsfachkraft”) for Headquarter Office in Berlin and Corporate Office
in Erlangen.

Requirements:
- Educational Background: A
successfully completed university degree in safety technology, environmental
technology, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, industrial
engineering, or a similar field is essential for your success. Additionally,
certification as a “Sicherheitsfachkraft” in Germany is required.
- Professional
Experience: You have at least 5 years of relevant
professional experience in production or related areas and in EHS management.
- Knowledge of EHS Laws
and Standards: You possess in-depth knowledge of relevant
EHS laws, regulations, and standards, such as ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 50001,
and German legislation.
- Risk Analysis and
Management Expertise: You are an expert in methods for
Risk Analysis and Risk Management, as well as Root Cause Analysis, supported by
methodologies like 5Why and the Ishikawa approach.
- Analytical and
Strategic Skills: You are characterized by strong
analytical skills, a strategic and solution-oriented mindset, and strong
communication skills with the ability to persuade at all hierarchical levels.
- Training and Process
Knowledge: You have didactic train-the-trainer knowledge
and process knowledge.
- Language Skills and
Willingness to Travel: To navigate your international
environment, you should be willing to travel and possess business-fluent
English skills. For your role as “Sicherheitsfachkraft,” business-fluent German
language skills are essential.
